Simplicity Sewing Pattern 4282 Girls' One-Piece Dress, Flared Skirt, Short Sleeves, Button Back, Underskirt, Size 8, Cut, Vintage 1960

Girl's One-Piece Dress:  Both views have lowered neckline, back button closing, set-in sleeves, corded piping at waistline and gathered skirt.  V. 1 features above the elbow lenght sleeves with elastic in casing forming self ruffles and ribbon and lace edging trim.  V. 2 features shaped short sleeves, self fabric bow and short skirt with scalloped lower edge.  Dress is worn over contrasting detachable gathered underskirt.  Underskirt has back opening.

Sewing Rating: Intermediate

Fabrics: All garments: cottons and blends, pique, batiste, organdy, dotted swiss, broadcloth, cotton satin.  rayons, silks, synthetics, taffeta,. Dress also in velveteen, velvet.  V. 2 underskirt also in eyelet. Unsuitable for obvious diagonals. Allow Extra fabric to match plaids or stripes. Use Nap yardages/layouts for pile, shaded or one-way design fabrics. * with nap **w/o nap.

Notions: View 1 and 2: 2 spools of thread, contrast thread, five 1/2" buttons, bias seam binding. View 1: 1 pkg. single fold bias tape. 

Condition: This pattern is complete, with instructions and all pattern pieces accounted for. It has been cut and gently used.  The envelope may show storage and shelf wear with nicks or tears. The pictures are of the exact item you will be receiving.

Shipping: Orders are shipped within 1-3 days. Canada shipping is Letter mail or Expedited depending on the size and weight of the item and the destination. All items are sealed in plastic and placed in an envelope for safe travels. If multiple items have been purchased fees are adjusted and overages are refunded.
